Ingmar Persson is Professor of Practical Philosophy, University of Gothenburg, and Distinguished Research Fellow, The Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics. His main publication is The Retreat of Reason: A Dilemma in the Philosophy of Life (Oxford University Press, 2005). He has published on applied and normative ethics and on philosophy of mind and action. His Unfit for the Future: The Need for Moral Enhancement, co-authored with Julian Savulescu, will be published by Oxford University Press in 2012.
