The Center for the Study of Bioethics organized, in partnership with The Hastings Center for Bioethics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Centre for Bioethics and The Master of Bioethics Program of Columbia University, the international conference “Existential Threats and Other Disasters: Novel (Bio)ethical Solutions for Novel Challenges.”

The conference was held on 11–12 June 2026 in Paris, at Reid Hall.

A Special Issue of the Journal of Ethics and Emerging Technologies (JEET) has been published on the occasion of the conference “Existential Threats and Other Disasters: How Should We Address Them” held on 30-31 May of 2024 in Budva, Montenegro.

The conference took place at Budva, Montenegro.

The Center for the Study of Bioethics organized the international conference “Enhancement: Cognitive, Moral, and Mood; Part II” in collaboration with the Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities at the University of Oxford.

The conference brought together leading bioethics experts from academic institutions worldwide to discuss the ethics of cognitive, moral and other forms of enhancement, as well as their various implications.
