He studied philosophy at King\u2019s College\/University of London (BA), the University of Durham (MA), the University of Giessen and the University of Jena (Dr. phil.). In recent years, he taught at the Universities of Jena (Germany), Erfurt (Germany) and Klagenfurt (Austria). His main fields of research are Nietzsche, the philosophy of music, bioethics and meta-, post- and transhumanism.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Sorgner is a member of the advisory board of the Encyclopedia of Anthropology (Sage) and of the editorial boards of the Encyclopedias of Time (Sage), the Handbook of 21st Century Anthropology (Sage), the journals Anthropologia Integra and the Journal of Evolution and Technology.
