Among the participants, who came from\u00a0<strong>24 countries representing all five continents<\/strong>, were some of the most prominent contemporary bioethicists:\u00a0<strong>John Harris (keynote speaker), Erik Parens (keynote speaker), Anders Sandberg, Michael Hauskeller, Robert Sparrow, Maartje Schermer, Ineke Bolt and many others.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the event&#8217;s opening ceremony, the participants were first greeted by\u00a0<strong>Vojin Raki\u0107<\/strong>, Director of the Center for the Study of Bioethics and Research Professor at the Institute for Social Sciences. Afterwards the participants were addressed by \u00a0<strong>Mildred Solomon<\/strong>, President of The Hastings Center, and\u00a0<strong>Sr\u0111an Verbi\u0107<\/strong>, Minister of Science, Education and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
