Marina Budić received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Philosophy at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the same University and a Research Assistant at the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade at the Center for Philosophy. She participated in international conferences and presented her research (2022 at Oxford University, 2021 in Belgrade; 2017, 2015, 2013. in Rijeka (Croatia); 2016 in Budapest). She carried out her own funded research projects: 1) Alternative energy sources in Serbia? – “yes, but not in my backyard!”, 2023; 2) Ethics and public attitudes towards the use of AI, 2022. She carried out research: 1) Public attitudes towards AI; 2) What drives public attitudes towards moral bioenhancement and why it matters: an exploratory study; 3) The influence of Practicing Art and Openness to experience on the subjective experience of musical and artistic works. She received an award for the best scientific research student work in the field of socio-humanistic sciences in 2012. Marina’s primary area of research is philosophy (ethics – applied, normative, bioethics, AI ethics). Her research focuses on moral responsibility and moral community, ethical challenges of AI, moral bioenhancement, and moral psychology. She published several peer-reviewed papers on these topics. In her work, she explores philosophical questions relevant to contemporary society.
