Dr. Željka Buturović is an associate research professor at the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade. Before turning to bioethics, she spent more than a decade doing doing public opinion research. Željka holds a PhD and MA in psychology from Columbia University, an AM in statistics from Harvard University, a BS in psychology and statistics with a minor in philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BSc in electrical engineering from the University of Belgrade.
Željka’s current research interests are bioethics, with a focus on end-of-life decision-making, reproductive ethics, and organ donatino; empirical and theoretical work on education and scientific culture; and long standing interest in decision-making.
