Zorana S. Todorović earned her PhD in 2019 from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade, defending her dissertation titled “Animal Emotions, Evolutionary Continuity, and Ethical Implications.” She holds the title of Research Associate at the University of Belgrade and is a member of the Center for the Study of Bioethics. Her scientific research focuses on the field of bioethics and philosophy of mind, and her areas of expertise include animal sentience and emotions, animal ethics, legal protection of animals and the philosophy of artificial intelligence. Todorović has participated in numerous scientific conferences both in Serbia and internationally, where she has presented her research on ethical issues concerning animals, their legal status and rights, among others. She has translated several books and scientific papers in the field of humanities. Recently, she took part in an international conference „Existential Threats and Other Disasters: How Should We Address Them“ organized by The Center for the Study of Bioethics, The Hastings Center and Oxford University’s Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics.
